MOHAVE VALLEY
Students and staff at Mohave High School are mourning the loss of one of their teachers, who was killed Wednesday morning. Larissa Castilleja, 43, was riding her bike when she was struck by a car around 4:15 a.m. Castilleja taught career and technical education classes for the last four years.
Principal Michael Leuck called Castilleja "the ultimate in a teacher. She took responsibility to make sure her students were better after being in her class." Bullhead Police arrested the driver, Gino Gagliardi of Fort Mojave, for leaving the scene of an accident and possible manslaughter charges. Police believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the accident.
