U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Wellton Station 220 miles south of Kingman found 33 pounds of marijuana hidden in a vehicle bumper at the Interstate 8 checkpoint last week. U.S. Border Patrol agents working at the checkpoint encountered a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina driven by a 29-year-old man. During the initial inspection, a Border Patrol K-9 team detected the presence of contraband. A secondary inspection of the vehicle revealed a hidden compartment located in the bumper, which contained plastic-wrapped bundles of marijuana. The contraband weighed a total of 33 pounds, and had an estimated street value of $26,400.

OH evil pot...When are we going to stop wasting resources an pluggin up the legal system chasing after little dribs and drabs of Pot..Everyone knows POT is not the Evil substance ruining the world...33 pounds..WOW...thats a real bust..I bet anything the cost to find this JACKPOT was twice the estimated value of the goods.

AS harmless..YES harmless as Pot has been proven time an time again to be...It just drives me nuts to think instead of chasing down the REAL problems....METH, COCAINE, HEROIN, and all the Manufactured drugs KILLING people left an right....We pay our police force to continue to chase after anyone smoking a joint...Then we pay the courts to Fill the prisons with people caught with it..Anyone can research Marijuana an find NOBODY in history has EVER died as a direct result of using it in any form.

Meanwhile,...Some creep is trying to get YOUR child to try METH or other REAL poisons for the first time..and we seem to not care..take off the blinders America..

Marijuana is NOT the problem. Stupidity is.

I cannot understand why, if this happened last week, the perp is described as a "29 year old man". It is not like a death was involved and the authorities have to notify next of kin or anything. Why not just give the name and more details. Since they ain't talking I will just assume it is another illegal from south of the border.
