KINGMAN

Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District will host an open house from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Station #1, 2485 Northern Ave.

Firefighters will discuss fire safety and education as part of Fire Prevention month in October. This year's theme is "Stay Fire Smart! Don't Get Burned".

BULLHEAD CITY

The non-profit River Cities Community Clinic received an $80,000 federal grant to help expand medical services for the Tri-State area's medically under-served residents. It is one of four grants given to clinics in Arizona.

The clinic provides medical services to residents who may not be able to afford to go to a doctor. Services are provided on a sliding fee scale. The clinic also accepts most major insurance companies, Medicare and AHCCCS.

RCCC is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 813 Hancock Road. Call (928) 704-9700 for an appointment.

KINGMAN

The next GED test date at Mohave Community College is Oct. 10. Test registration is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Student Center on the Kingman campus. The test fee is $65. Call Jane House at (928) 692-3005 or send an e-mail to: janehouseosu@yahoo.com for more information.

Dolan Springs plans full day of National Trails Day activities

DOLAN SPRINGS

The Dolan Springs National Trails Day event begins at 7 a.m. Saturday with a pancake breakfast. The event also includes ATV, 4x4, horseback and mountain bike riding and hikes.

The starting point is the Ranch Club Rodeo Grounds. Door prizes, a 50-50, music, free blood pressure checks and a swapmeet are planned.

Egg decorating class Oct. 13-14

KINGMAN

A class with instructor Marty Adams on creating festive Ukrainian eggs is from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 13-14 in the Centennial Park Activity Center.

The cost is $29 and registration is accepted weekdays at the Centennial Park Recreation Office. Call (928) 757-7919 for more information.

Valle Vista book, bake sale Saturday - The Fall Book and Bake Sale organized by the Friends of the Library is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Valle Vista Library, 7264 Concho Drive, Suite B. Call (928) 692-7662 for more information.
