KINGMAN - Residents of the Chloride Domestic Water Improvement District may have to wait a little longer to get quality water. The bid opening for the construction of a new six-mile water pipeline has been pushed back from today to Nov. 12.
The $1.6 million waterline would connect Chloride to Valley Pioneer Water Company in Golden Valley and provide a clean, dependable source of drinking water. The project went out for bid on Oct. 4.
The bid opening was pushed back because bidding companies had a number of questions about the project, said Eric Sparkman of Shepard-Wesnitzer, Inc., which is handling the bidding process.
The bid opening will be held at 4 p.m. Nov. 12 at Shepard-Wesnitzer, 1608 Stockton Hill Road, Suite 103.
