Legion hosts job fair Tuesday

KINGMAN - Job seekers are invited to the Hire a Vet First Job Fair slated for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at American Legion Post 14, 225 Oak St.

Local, federal, state, county and city employers will be present, and those who attend are advised to be prepared to interview. The fair is open to all job seekers.

GV flag-raising Wednesday

GOLDEN VALLEY - American Legion Post 22's Veterans Day flag-raising ceremony is at 9 a.m. Wednesday at 3435 N. Verde. Coffee and doughnuts will be served.

A free meal for veterans provided by the Ladies Auxiliary will be served at the post from noon to 3 p.m.

Senate candidates here Tuesday

KINGMAN - U.S. Senate candidates Chris Simcox and Jim Deakin will speak when the Mohave Republican Forum meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Kingman Elks Lodge, 900 Gates Ave.

Veterans ceremony at park

KINGMAN - A Veterans Day ceremony is slated for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Veterans Memorial in Locomotive Park in downtown Kingman.

The event will include guest speakers and a color guard. The public is invited, but with limited seating those who attend are asked to bring their own chairs. Call Jerry at (928) 753-4333 for more information.
