Business workshops offered

KINGMAN - Two free human resources workshops sponsored by the Mohave Community College Small Business Development Center on the Neal Campus-Kingman will be held this week.

The "ABCs of Hiring and Firing Employees" is on Wednesday, and "Wages and Hours Workshop for Employers" is on Thursday. Both workshops are from 5:30 to 7:30 in Room 200F, Building 200 at 1971 Jagerson Ave. in Kingman.

Bishop here Saturday

KINGMAN - Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted will lead a Mass for healing and reconciliation at 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 302 E. Spring St.

The mass is for "all who have been abused by clergy or laity of the Catholic Church, and all survivors of abuse, their families, friends and the community."

Holiday Food Drive Saturday

KINGMAN - Kingman Food Bank's Holiday Food Drive is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Wal-Mart's two main entrances.

Perishable and non-perishable food will be accepted as well as monetary donations.

GV swap meet Saturday

GOLDEN VALLEY - American Legion Post 22's Art & Crafts Indoor/Outdoor Swap Meet and Bake Sale is from 9 a.m. to dusk Nov. 21 at 3435 N. Verde. Swap meet spaces can be obtained by contacting Sandy at (928) 565-3529.

Art show ends Thursday

KINGMAN - The Mohave County Artist and Craftsman Guild showing and sale of oils, acrylics, watercolors, jewelry, wood and metal pieces continues through Thursday at MCC, 1971 Jagerson Ave. Visit www.kingmanart.com for more information.
