Club's Christmas Store open
KINGMAN - The Kingman Boys and Girls Club Christmas Store is open from 2:30-6:30 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 17.

Bazaar set for Dec. 12
KINGMAN - The Women's Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council hosts a Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 12 in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2255 Butler Ave.
Local arts and crafts will be featured, and tables are available to rent for $10.

MOHAVE COUNTY
Mohave County Public Works road crews will continue their maintenance operations from last week. The blade trucks will be working on roads in Dolan Springs and Golden Valley.
In Meadview and Valle Vista, crews will be clearing intersections of brush to improve the line of sight for drivers. Crews are continuing to work on the cleaning out a wash in Valle Vista that runs from Sugarloaf Street to Burro Drive near the clubhouse.
In the Butler area and Golden Valley, crews will be sweeping streets, repairing pavement edges, maintaining shoulders and mowing weeds. Crews will also be performing maintenance on culverts and guardrails along Stockton Hill Road and applying edge line striping to Oatman Highway.
KINGMAN
A Kingman man faces misdemeanor littering charges after he dumped a truck-bed full of yard debris into a wash in the area of Potter Avenue and Sierra Road Tuesday.
A person witnessing the act called the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, which responded to the location around 4:10 p.m. and arrested the 54-year-old man, who also had several warrants for his arrest for failure to pay fines.
The Sheriff's Office called the reporting party a "Good Samaritan," and reminds people that it is illegal to dump items, even yard debris, in the wash.
History nominations sought
KINGMAN - Nomination forms for Women Making History awards are available at the Mohave County Library, Mohave Community College and the Mohave Museum of History and Arts.
Nomination deadline is Jan. 15, and the award winners will be honored at 2 p.m. March 7 at the museum. Nomination categories are the arts, business, education, homemaking, pioneering, professions, public service, religion and volunteer contributions.

KINGMAN - The Kingman Recreation Department is looking for several happy and cheery St. Nicks to assist in their annual North Pole Calling program that runs Dec. 1-22.

Fil-Am Christmas party Dec. 13
KINGMAN - The Filipino-American Club Christmas Party and Program is from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center, 1776 Airway Ave.
Those who attend are asked to bring a dish to share for four or more people. Helping hands to help set up and clean up the venue are needed, as well as monetary donations for several party-related items such as the disc jockey and the cost to rent the facility.
