KINGMAN - Motorists traveling along Beale Street in southwest Kingman Friday evening got a surprising sight - a 35-foot recreational vehicle smashed into a traffic light pole and a man with a metal stake bashing in the windshield.

According to Kingman Police Department, Peter Moline, 63, of Golden Valley was seen driving the RV at a high rate of speed down Highway 68 into Kingman. He rear-ended a 2009 Subaru stopped in the outside lane at the traffic light near the onramp to Interstate 40 west.

Moline then honked his horn and ran into the Subaru again, according to KPD. When the Subaru tried to move out of Moline's way, he passed the vehicle on the right and struck a 2003 Toyota pickup truck while moving into the intersection. The RV then struck the traffic light pole.

According to KPD, Moline then got out of the RV with a large metal stake in his hands. He told people that he was being robbed and started smashing in the windshield of the RV.

KPD officers found no one else in the RV and more than $1,000 on Moline.

Moline was admitted to Kingman Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was still in the hospital Saturday morning.

Officers plan to cite him for the accident and criminal charges could be filed.
