Well, I'm sure it's a lease or providing room for expansion. Might even be due to the terrain.

Personally I think the turbines are beautiful as the slowly spin in the wind.

Anything is better than nothing...does anyone really plan to build a resort there?

I think the wind farm is a great idea just like the solar farms. Jobs are needed. If enough of this type of economic growth comes to the county maybe we can also attract some kind of trade school or manufacture to also locate here? Energy utilities and good quality manufactures and distributors would greatly help our area out. I know some people are working on this and to them I say thank you. But I have one word to our local and state government and liberals. The way to attract companies or “create” more economic growth is by NOT raising taxes and fees and controlling more or our daily lives!

Wow! Are we just giving away public land to private companies now? Who is getting paid off for this one?

Why is everyone not protesting this?

44860 public acres and 4360 private for 335 turbines! That is 146.9 acres of land per turbine.

Even sea based turbines the biggest in the world dont need any more then 5 acres per unit. What are they building with all the extra land?

I can see setting aside land for use, but not just handing over 44860 acres for free. Maybe a reserve land deal and the rest to be granted as units are actually built, but not just turn it all over for a Low price of 335 turbines.

If these units cost one million dollars each witch is a conservative price for a mass produced farm then they would get this land with the turbines for 7467$ an acre. Not bad.

Is this an American owned company or another Chinese firm? GE Communist secret squirrel project?

Will these kinds of projects be a non polluting and money making project for Mohave county? Non polluting yes! Just too bad we wont see a dime from it. The contractors will all come from out of state and a HIGH probability that the labor to maintain them will come from Las Vegas. This is why its being built less then a hours drive from Vegas.

Nope no benefit for Mohave County at all for this one. Looks like a Las Vegas Gold ol boy project to me. Is any of Rhodes friends involved?

This is truely GREEN power. It does not use any water. Unlike the Supersizes who are all ready to give our water away. Even though the USGS report stated that the Hualapai Aquifer is in depletion. This is the type of power that is good for Mohave County, and will bring good jobs to Mohave County. And yet the Supersizes refuse to listen to the voters, they just can't say NO to Spain, Germany, China, and those low wage workers that will come in and build these Concentrated Solar Plants. Again it is time to not listen to the Supersizes, BOYCOTT MOHAVE COUNTY! It is time to not shop locally! Lets spend our hard earned money else ware. It is time to put the Supersizes on notice. We the voters / taxpayers are tired of electing individuals that say they do not listen to the people. RECALL and BOYCOTT that is what we need to do, to let the Supersizes know that they do not listen to the voters.
