The Arizona Democratic Party met in Kingman on Saturday for its quarterly state committee meeting, a first for Mohave County. About 300 people attended the event, which included an executive committee meeting, meetings for various caucuses, several political candidates and various information and sales booths. Here, Don Bivens, state chairman for the Arizona Democratic Party (right), stands with Patrick Gonzales, chairman of the Mohave County Democratic Party. Behind them is the hallway at White Cliffs Middle School, filled with people and information booths.

"My hope for the next Mount Rushmore:...."
Sorry, none of them will ever even rate a postage stamp. But the thought does bring a 3 Stooges image to mind. You can go back to drooling over your Obama photo collection now.

I attended as a volunteer. The delegates seemed to have enjoyed Kingman. I am proud of the welcome this "red zone" showed our visitors.

My hope for the next Mount Rushmore:
On one side Barack Obama. On the other Al Gore. In the middle, no one but the great William Jefferson Clinton.

Try not to use them so one can actually understand what it is that you're trying to say.

Mohave county is definitely "red country", but hey the looney tunes have taken over the GOP, now those adopted ugly [deleted] they took in during the 1960's who famously abandoned the democrat party over their anger at segragation, over turning the old jim crow laws, in deep south, have now renamed themselves, true conservatives, threw away their white hoods/robes, and donned their new camoflauge fatigues, started new banners under the "Minute Men/Aryan Nations" and various other little groups of like minded folks! It is funny watching them turn cannibal, eating their own, as they did in New York's 23rd congressional district, where the traditional GOP nominee did not meet their "smell test", and therefore they submitted their "true conservative" candidate, who split the ticket three ways, handing the win to the democrats which had not occured in that district since civil war era! One can hope the "tea party/secessionists/seditionists" here in Arizona do similiar actions doing what I like to call the proverbial cutting off of ones own nose to spite ones face! The local expert on all things Obama/democrat believes Sarah Palin is their great white hope in 2012, and will boost their mid term chances in 2010, guess I will not count my democrat chickens till they hatch, but we will not have long to wait to see if these "Red GOP chickens" that have been counted before they hatch actually hatch or merely lay there and rot! I am a firm believer in the old saying of the sun don't shine on one dogs tail all the time, it has to shine on somem other dogs tail some of the time, the GOP had 8 years of sunshine on their dog, its time for another dog to get some of that sunshine!
