MOHAVE COUNTY
County road crews will pick up where they left off after the holiday weekend. Blade trucks will be active in Meadview, Dolan Springs, Golden Valley and Diamond Bar Road. Crews will also be repairing potholes and shoulders in Meadview and along Pierce Ferry Road. In the Butler, Chaparral Mesa and Fountain Hills areas, crews will be sweeping streets and mowing weeds. Work on clearing a wash that runs from Sugarloaf Street to Burro Drive in Valle Vista will be completed before Christmas.

Fire hazard workshop in GV
GOLDEN VALLEY - The Fire Hazards During the Holidays fire prevention/safety class starts at 7 p.m. Thursday in Golden Valley Fire Department Station 2. The free class, the first of a monthly series offered by the GVFD, is open to the public. Call (928) 565-3479 for more information.

Holiday gift fair Friday
KINGMAN - The 4th Annual Mohave County Employee Holiday Fair is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday on the second floor of the County Administration Building, 700 W. Beale St. Along with shopping opportunities, a free raffle drawing will be held hourly. Call (928) 753-4240 for more information.

Museum holiday program Sunday
KINGMAN - The Mohave Museum of History and Art Christmas program begins at 2 p.m. Dec. 6 in the museum auditorium. Local performers Dave Morphew and his sister Sheri Morphew Cullison, Floranda Powskey and Chris Commiso will perform. In addition, Paul Carson will play the Austin Pipe Organ, and a new Christmas exhibit will be open. The museum is located at 400 W. Beale St.

MCC slates GED tests
KINGMAN - The next GED test date at Mohave Community College is Dec. 12. Test registration is from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Student Center on the Kingman campus. The test fee is $65. Call Jane House at (928) 692-3005 or send an e-mail to: janehouseosu@yahoo.com for more information.

Christmas Bazaar Dec. 12
KINGMAN - The Women's Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council hosts a Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 12 in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2255 Butler Ave. Local arts and crafts will be featured, and tables are available to rent for $10. The deadline for table rentals is Saturday. Call (928) 279-2815 or (928) 757-5261 for more information.
