KINGMAN - Alleged bank robber Victor Malaro was indicted Thursday on six counts of armed robbery and one count of aggravated assault.

Malaro is being held at the Mohave County Jail on $75,000 bond. He is currently being represented by the Public Defender's Office.

Malaro was arrested Dec. 3 after he allegedly robbed the Mohave State Bank on Stockton Hill Road earlier that morning. Malaro had been the subject of a manhunt for two months after law enforcement agencies in Kingman, Golden Valley and Bullhead City suspected him of robbing two additional banks, a sporting goods store, a health foods store and a convenience store.

A 19-year-old clerk was shot during the convenience store robbery at King Tut's mini-mart in Golden Valley Nov. 11, resulting in the aggravated assault charge. Police say Malaro also left behind a simulated explosive device at the Mohave State Bank.

In a questionnaire filled out by Malaro after his arrest, he said he was self-employed and listed his occupation as "robbin banks." Under employer's address, he wrote, "Any bank with no 'custi' (sic)."

In a questionnaire filled out when he was arrested by the Mohave County Sheriff's Office for drug and firearms charges in August, Malaro said he was a worker with a tow yard.

Malaro was found with $18,000 that he allegedly stole from Mohave State Bank when he was arrested. He also allegedly made off with $6,200 from the National Bank of Arizona in Golden Valley Oct. 16. The amounts from the other robberies were not available.

I think it's great they set his bail so low in a town where almost everyone carries a gun. Now we just need an "Official" season to be declared on "Crack Head Bank Robbers", No Limit! Who's the Judge that set this bail so LOW?!?! Let's name these idiots! And I want to know if this guy had some kind of County Shock Collar on where he couldn't leave the edges of the Mohave region or he got zapped? He got all that money from "Robbin Banks" and didn't hop a train out of here??? There's a new breed of Bank Robber in town! Jesse Lames!

Dear Nitwit.....Why did they even acknowledge him as a bank robber on the questionaire then? Where is all the other money? Did he use funds from illegal sources to get bailed out the first time? That is a big no no! Somebody bring a mop to this town!

He wrote "robbin banks" and they still set a low bail. Does the justice system here have ANY sense? Or does it play stupid on purpose for certain people?

I think his profession is about to change now that he's going to prison! I can't say here what his profession will be, however! Butt they love skinny, little guys who can't defend themselves in prison.

My guess is they'll soon be calling him "Vicky!"

Stay in school, boys and girls. You don't EVER want to go to jail...there's nothing cool about it, it's no joke!

@ $24,200. and he still gets FREE attorney!!!

Uhhh, is this a serious question??? Really???

If so, here's your answer; IT WASN'T HIS MONEY!!! HE CAN'T PAY FOR AN ATTORNEY WITH MONEY THAT ISN'T HIS AND BELONGS TO THE BANK AND THE PEOPLE WHO DEPOSITED IT THERE!

I agree that robbing banks is wrong. But, I must ask when our own government pushes us to the point that we cant work, support our families, or even pay the utility bills what is a guy to do? Im not sticking up for the guy I just think maybe he just got pushed to far.

Im sure most people would rob a bank before their kids went hungry.

This is crazy! He is arrested in August for firearms AND dangerous drugs and is bailed out to commit more crime. So this time they set his bond at 75,000 (which isn't much for what he did). What are they short a salesman or something?

What is the next move? Give him the best lawyer in Kingman at the expense of the county because......he is "contraacted" by it. Somebody needs to do something about the justice system here before your relative is next!

75,000 Bond..thats unbelieveable! The TEENAGERS who did less, (but were stupid) their bonds were 250,000 each! They didn't do a fraction of what he did. Someone needs to mop up the justice system in Mohave County! Those teenagers had no record and he did!!!! This guy either knows someone or is working for someone. SOMEBODY needs to help this town.
