BULLHEAD CITY
A 63-year-old man who allegedly robbed the Wells Fargo Bank on Friday was arrested a short time later in Laughlin.
Douglas Michael Weaver of Bullhead City was in a taxi when he was stopped by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police on the Nevada side of the Laughlin bridge.
Police say Weaver entered the bank in the 1700 block of U.S. 95 around 3:30 p.m. Friday, handed a male bank teller a note that demanded money and said he had a gun. No gun was seen, but Weaver gestured he had one in his possession. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Weaver awaits extradition to Arizona where he will be charged with robbery.
