BULLHEAD CITY
A 63-year-old man who allegedly robbed the Wells Fargo Bank on Friday was arrested a short time later in Laughlin. Douglas Michael Weaver of Bullhead City was in a taxi when he was stopped by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police on the Nevada side of the Laughlin bridge. Police say Weaver entered the bank in the 1700 block of U.S. 95 around 3:30 p.m. Friday, handed a male bank teller a note that demanded money and said he had a gun. No gun was seen, but Weaver gestured he had one in his possession. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Weaver awaits extradition to Arizona where he will be charged with robbery.

KINGMAN
The Kingman Unified School District board meets at 5:30 p.m. today at the district office at 3033 MacDonald Avenue. Construction director Oz Enderby will give the board an update on the new White Cliffs Middle School and the redevelopment of the high school athletic field. Stephanie Angle, a teacher at Hualapai Elementary School, will also be recognized for being named the 2009 Elementary Science Teacher of the Year by the Arizona Science Teachers Association. The board has an otherwise light agenda, and will go through a routine approval process of multiple donations made by local businesses to several schools.
