GOLDEN SHORES
Vandals recently shot the Route 66 interpretive signs about three miles north of Golden Shores.
"The interpretive signs at the Historic Route 66 kiosk didn't make it two years before being vandalized," said Bureau of Land Management Recreation Planner Bruce Asbjorn.
It will cost close to $2,000 to replace the shot-up signs, he said.
The incident is under investigation. If anyone has any information about the interpretive sign vandalism, contact BLM Law Enforcement at (602) 679-8119.
