KINGMAN

The Arizona Game and Fish Department's Operation Game Thief, in conjunction with the Mule Deer Foundation and Mohave County Silent Witness, are offering up to $3,000 in rewards for information regarding the poaching of two deer.

The hides of two deer, a doe and buck, were found in early December off Seneca Road near the cross streets of Dakota and Comanche near a construction site in Kingman. Arizona Game and Fish Department Wildlife Manager Lainie Antolik believes this was a dumping area.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Operation Game Thief 24-hour hotline at (800) 352-0700. Caller identities will remain confidential.

BULLHEAD CITY

The Bullhead City PD is investigating an armed and aggravated robbery that occurred at the Hastings Book, Music and Video store, located at Highway 95 and Ramar Road. At 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, three males dressed in black entered the store. One suspect was wielding a long gun (possibly a rifle or shotgun). The men then stole game systems (Wiis, X-Boxes, Sony Playstations) from a promotional table near the front of the store. The suspects are described as possibly Hispanic males, medium build between 5'7" and 6 foot tall. Mohave Silent Witness is offering a reward starting at $500 for information leading to an arrest. Contact the Bullhead City Police Department at (928) 763-1999, and ask for Detective Ed Betts, or Mohave Silent Witness at 888-227-8780.

MOHAVE COUNTY

Mohave County Public Works will be working on roads across the county this week.

Crews will focus on repairing road shoulders and brush removal in the Meadview and Dolan Springs areas. The blade truck will be active in Dolan Springs and Golden Valley. Crews will also be repairing damage and opening drains along Diamond Bar Road.

Workers will be sweeping streets and applying stop bars in the Butler area and fixing Deer Canyon Road near Hualapai Mountain Road. Work has already started on completing a walking path from Gordon Avenue to Northern Avenue in Kingman. The project is expected to be completed in August.
