BULLHEAD CITY
The Bullhead City Police Department arrested 30-year-old John Thomas Johnson III for attempting to kidnap a 9-year-old girl on Christmas Eve.
Johnson allegedly grabbed the girl while she was riding her scooter. Police said she was able to get away after she kicked Johnson in the groin. Johnson was caught after the girl's father checked the area and told police the man might be in a local bar down the street. Police arrested Johnson, a Bullhead City transient, inside the bar for attempted kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment after he matched the suspect description and was positively identified by the girl. He was transported to the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.
