RUFUS CRUMP
RUFUS CRUMP

KINGMAN - A Golden Valley man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly hitting his girlfriend's son with a pet leash.

Mohave County Sheriff's detectives arrested Rufus Crump, 40, of Golden Valley, Wednesday for felony child abuse after the 4-year-old boy's school notified authorities.

The boy allegedly has bruises to his back and bottom. Deputies say Crump, the boyfriend of the boy's mother, had gotten upset with the boy and hit him with a leash.

Crump was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. Child Protective Services were notified of the incident.

why in the world are some of you so easy to just say plead him out this is [wrong] who is there to protect an innocent 4 year old? yes i agree that the mother should face some sort of charge too, but how sick is this guy doing that to a little kid. i just think it is too bad that these types are automatically put into protective custody because they are afraid of what might happen to him i say let the population have him and give him a good beating. that goes for this kids mother too!!!

If I ever found my husband or anyone ever put a mark on my child, You would read, Mother in jail for murder after finding her child was hurt. I don't understand how any mother could let a person hurt their child and stay with them.

I would think that people would want to know all the facts before putting this man in the slammer. WHERE was the MOTHER! Iknow as a boy I was spanked with a belt, rope, etc. Throw my parents away too. Oh wait, I did nto turn out so bad after all. Hmmmm people, what if this guy has never done anything wrong before. Why can't we spend the county's monry prosecuting real criminals!

Gee I am new to the area but I thought that law inforcement was who you called when you had a problem what is with the Minute Men. Number one there is not a state, city, county in this country that dosent have problems. No I dont believe in the plea barganing I honestly think that if he is found guilty he should be sentenced to be hung by his thumbs out on the courthouse lawn and all passerbyes should be able to whip him with a dog leash just maybe if we start treating the convicted criminals they way they treated their victoms a lot of these crimes would stop cause no one would like that kind of treatment not even the criminals.

Hey Mohave County Government, I can save you a whole lot of money, Get rid of the prosecutors office - Plea bargain and admit to malicious mischief and a kiss on the cheek, were done.

The mother [deleted]...shame on her. Poor little boy...time for single moms to stop bringing dangerous men around their children- play time is over once you become a mom..the kids come first.
