Kingman Out of The Darkness Community Walk
Centennial Park(Library side)
The Out of the Darkness Community Walks are 3-5 mile walks (Kingman''s walk is 3.2miles, or 4 laps around Centennial Parks Trail. It is a non-competitive walk.) taking place in over 250 communities across the country this year, with the proceeds benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
By walking in the Out of the Darkness Community Walks, you will be walking with thousands of other walkers nationwide to raise money for AFSP''s vital research and education programs to prevent suicide and save lives, increase national awareness about depression and suicide, and provide support for survivors of suicide loss. In deciding to walk you are taking us a step closer to making suicide prevention a national priority
There is NO registration fee to register for an Out of the Darkness Community Walk. You can Register online, or in person the day of the walk.
All donations are 100% tax deductible.
• Each participant is asked to set a minimum fundraising goal of $150. However, donations of any amount are accepted and no one will be turned away. People may continue to donate to you until December 31st, 2012.
• Feel free to make customized t-shirts for you, and/or your team. Be creative! Bring signs, banners etc.
• EVERYONE is welcome!
• Any participant five years and older is REQUIRED to register for the walk.
• The walk will take place RAIN or SHINE
Help us reach our goal of $5,000! 50% of all funds raised will stay in kingman to help implement preventive education and resources locally.
