Local charities don't make their goals on Arizona Gives Day

ARIZONA - Arizona Gives didn't make its goal of raising $2 million for Arizona charities but it did collect more than $928,500 from more than 8,500 donors.
Organizations in Kingman did not fare as well in the 24-hour fundraiser.
The Friends for Books in Kingman raised $155 and Operation Help-A-Vet, which is run by the Kingman Veterans Memorial Trust, raised $50.
North Country Healthcare, Westcare Arizona, the Kingman Friends of the Library and Arizona Youth Partnership didn't receive any donations.
