Visit to 'Keepers' evoked strong feelings
Tuesday, October 31, 2006
I visited Keepers of the Wild over a year ago now, when they were in White Hills. The experience changed me in a profoundly positive way. It evoked the same powerful feelings that I had when visiting the Grand Canyon's north rim and Mount Saint Helens. I was spiritually moved and reminded that all living things are precious and connected in some mysterious way.
Johnathan Kraft is a man amongst men. When I watched him enter cage after cage to hug and tussle with these animals, I was made aware of how intelligent, skilled and compassionate he is. These magnificent beasts have been so often maligned and mistreated for our amusement. I am glad that they have found a much-deserved protector in Mr. Kraft.
